Attack on Titan season 2 release date 2017

When will Attack on Titan season 2 be released? We are waiting for the premiere and want to know the exact release date of anime in 2016.

Premiere of anime Attack on Titan took place in April 2013 and attracted the attention of huge amount of fans of dark fantasy all round the world. Wit Studio experts are working on adaptation, and famous Tetsurō Araki is a director.

After its successful start, it became clear that the anime would be renewed for the second season, as to leave many millions of fans without continuation would be unfair. Initially, it was planned that the release of the new episodes would be scheduled for 2015, but later it appeared that at first the creators were going to represent two movies on the first season storyline base, and later – to announce the release date of Season 2.

The first film was broadcast on November 22, 2014, and the second one – on June 27, 2015. In one of his interviews Tetsurō Araki confirmed that the release of the second season of Attack on Titan anime would be postponed till 2017 (UPDATE 1), as there are many reasons for not allowing making the premiere earlier. The manga is only two story arcs ahead of season one and this means Araki will have to wait a bit to get enough content to have a complete season 2.

Fortunately, in 2015 two more live-action movies, covering the total first season, will be released. The premiere of the first of them, named “Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrows”, is scheduled for August 1, and the second one, “Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom”, is being prepared to the release on September 19. Hope, that after the release of the given movies, the anime creators will provide us with more information on the release date of the second season and we will be able to publish more exact data in the given article.
