Fifty Shades Darker movie will actually be showing on Valentines of 2017. We already know the exact release date in theaters.

The book Fifty Shades of Grey, which is the first part of the famous erotic novel by British writer E. L. James, was successfully adapted and released at the beginning of 2015. The main roles played Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, and Sam Taylor-Johnson directed the movie.

After the premiere there were both positive and negative reviews, but it was quite usual for the adaptation of such types of books. Some critics and fans didn’t like the actors, invited into the project as well as the elimination of numerous events, described in the book. Despite that fact, the movie earned almost $570 million, while only $40 million were invested in its creation. The success is obvious and the rights holders are satisfied.

After a brief pause, the creators announced about their work on the scripts for Fifty Shades Darker movie, which is based on the second book. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t premiere at the beginning of 2016, as it was expected by the fans, since according to the official announcement of Universal Pictures, the release date of Fifty Shades Darker in cinemas is scheduled for February 17, 2017. Also, there are evidences that the third movie Fifty Shades Freed will premiere on February 9, 2018.

Sam Taylor-Johnson wouldn’t direct the second movie, as she will be replaced by James Foley (House of Cards).
