«Mad Men» season 6: release date

When does «Mad Men» season 6 start? Premiere (air) date is known.

At present Lionsgate Television produced 5 complete Seasons of «Mad Men» series. The final episode was aired in summer, 2012. Each of 65 episodes was awaited with great impatience by millions of American TV viewers.

Show reached its top rate at the start of Season 5 (3,54 mil.) and just then the rightholders were considering Season 6 of «Mad Men» show to be aired. The new episodes were officially announced to be produced till April 7, 2013 (release date).

Scott Hornbacher, who has become one of the crew members starting from Season 3, will be directing the premiere episode. According to the reports 13 new episodes will not be the final ones – Matthew Weiner himself confirmed the fact that the final Season 7 is planned to be produced according to his contract.

It should be noted that starting from Season 1« Mad Men» was voted as one of the best American TV shows.
