The long-awaited premiere of the series Underground on WGN America channel took place. A good advertising campaign and promotion of the project on the internet were paid off, because according to statistics, the debut series was watched by 1.4 million viewers, which already gave an excellent chance for renewal for Season 2.

The experts point out that across four premiere-night plays, Underground amassed 2.5 million viewers, the largest-ever same-day audience for a WGN premiere!

Such results at the beginning of the season are very encouraging the creators who admit that they would like to continue their work on the project in the season 2016/2017.
