French series Marseille debuted on Netflix in May 2016. It is a show in the genre of political drama, Dan Franck deals with the creation.

In the center of the plot is Robert Taro (Gérard Depardieu), who manages a quarter-century town in northern France. In the election he will have to deal with a young and ambitious politician, who he has presented to the public as his heir. In the struggle for power are also involved drug dealer, trade unions and local authorities…

In its homeland the show has received a lot of negative reviews, so Season 2 of the project is unlikely to be filmed. The critics of the experts put an end to the renewal, but a formal decision has not yet announced (UPDATE 1).

UPDATE 2 (March 1, 2017): Production on season 2 of Marseille begins Tuesday, April 18 in Marseille.
