Gilmore Girls season 8 release date

Did you see the TV series Gilmore Girls and were upset by the fact that it was closed in 2007? Then you have some good news: Netflix has decided to bring this show to life and has ordered the creation of the new episodes.

The new right holders say about the renewal not as the eighth season, but «limited series». According to the official announcement, we are waiting for the “fresh” 4 episodes of 90 minutes, and the name of the project will be “Gilmore Girls: Seasons”.

Their participation in the filming confirmed Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane). The creator of the series «Gilmore Girls» Amy Sherman-Palladino has signed a contract with Netflix and will lead the development of the new season, as well as in her team there is invited executive producer Daniel Palladino.

It was possible to find out that the shooting of Season 8, or better “Gilmore Girls: Seasons”, will start in February 2016 in Los Angeles, but the exact release date on Netflix is not yet known. Apparently, the right holders will announce it after the filming, so have patience and wait.
