Alveopora corals aka Daisy Corals are visually similar to Goniopora corals although considered somewhat easier to keep, making them more suitable for less experienced reef keepers. Alveopora species have twelve tentacles at the end of each polyp, less than Goniopora which has sixteen, an easy way to tell the two species apart.
Alveopora’s provide a lot of movement in the tank to stunning effect, with the polyps being so long they do require a reasonable amount of space around them to avoid them stinging other corals.
Alveopora corals prefer low to moderate light and low to moderate flow.
