ESN Designer Whey Protein Dark Cookies & Cream is een romige eiwitshake met een volle chocoladesmaak, koekjeskarakter en een zachte cream-achtige afdronk. Deze smaak is geschikt voor wie een eiwitshake zoekt met meer dessertbeleving dan een standaard vanille- of chocoladesmaak. De formule bevat 85% wei-eiwitmengsel van ultragefilterd wei-eiwitconcentraat en microgefilterd wei-eiwitisolaat, aangevuld met 6% sterk ontvet cacaopoeder en 3% koekstukjes. Per 100 gram bevat deze smaak 72 gram eiwit. Een portie van 30 gram levert daardoor 21,6 gram eiwit. De verpakking van 908 gram is goed voor ongeveer 30 porties.

Chocolade, cacao en cookies & cream

Dark Cookies & Cream heeft een donkere, volle smaak door het gebruik van sterk ontvet cacaopoeder. De koekstukjes geven de shake een herkenbaar cookies & cream-profiel en zorgen voor een andere beleving dan een volledig gladde whey shake. De smaak is romig, licht zoet en past goed bij gebruikers die houden van chocolade met een koekjesachtige twist. Ook in kwark, yoghurt, havermout of eiwitrijke bakrecepten komt deze smaak duidelijk naar voren.

Whey concentraat en whey isolaat

De eiwitbasis bestaat uit een combinatie van ultragefilterd wei-eiwitconcentraat en microgefilterd wei-eiwitisolaat. Wei-eiwitconcentraat draagt bij aan de volle structuur en melkachtige smaak. Wei-eiwitisolaat is verder gefilterd en past goed binnen een eiwitrijke formule. Samen vormen ze een whey protein complex dat eenvoudig te mengen is met water of magere melk.

Zonder toegevoegde suikers

ESN Designer Whey Dark Cookies & Cream bevat geen toegevoegde suikers. De zoete smaak komt van sucralose en steviolglycosiden uit Stevia. De aanwezige suikers zijn afkomstig uit de gebruikte ingrediënten, waaronder het wei-eiwitmengsel en de koekstukjes. Per 100 gram bevat deze smaak 9,6 gram koolhydraten, waarvan 5,6 gram suikers, en 72 gram eiwit.

Gebruik als shake of in recepten

Meng 30 gram ESN Designer Whey met 200 ml koud water of magere melk in een shaker. Met water blijft de shake lichter, terwijl melk zorgt voor een vollere cookies & cream-smaak. ESN adviseert 1 tot 3 porties per dag. Deze smaak is geschikt vóór of na een training, als snack of als eiwitrijke toevoeging aan havermout, kwark, yoghurt, smoothies of bakrecepten.

So many squeakers!

I have 3 golden retrievers. They love this toy. While the head came off because they played tug-o-war with it, the rest has held up mostly for 5-6 months. Cute, durable toy.

It's about as durable as you can expect a stuffed animal to be. I have two new puppies who are still teething and they love these things. I got the Kyjen sheep mat version (it's a square shape, rather than the two rows of squeakers) for the little girl. Both dogs sleep with it in their crate and we take them on trips with us. I've gone so far as to open up the toy and replace the broken squeakers (costs about 5$ for 30 large squeakers). The rest of the toy is fine. Our german shepherd puppy absolutely loves the rattle that's located in the head of the gator as well. The rattle also helps initially getting the dog engaged with chewing on the toy rather than your clothing or furniture. Then they discover the squeakers and it's endless entertainment and a good distraction for your dogs. I haven't had any problems with the thin, decorative material that's represent the teeth, claws and back fins. It's a slightly thicker felt that's soft and flimsy. Honestly, I'm not worried about it. Even if they were to eventually chew these off, they're not a choking hazard. Our little guy has thrown up solid pieces of kibble that are larger and harder than this. Seriously now, common. The eyes are sewn into the head, so there's no risk of pulling them off and swallowing. I toss these in the washer on a gentle cycle to clean off the slobber and dirt about once every couple weeks and the squeakers are fine, though they sometimes have to dry out to be 100% functional again. It never takes long. Overall, I love the amount of squeakers just due to the breaking problem with have with single squeaker toys. Once they break, the dog loses interest. Which is also a nice way to train the dogs the difference between the non-squeaking kids toys. The dogs absolutely love this toy and wont sleep without it. When the fabric eventually wears out (not even a slight issue after a few months), I'll be buying another one.

For the price this is my favorite toy! My 4 lb Chihuahua LOVES this thing. He is smaller than it by a long shot, yet he loves to parade this around, showing how big he is and can handle this huge GATOR. LOL. Friends come up to the porch, and he runs back to grab his GATOR to bring it up for them to see. Only thing with these toys - for my dog - we have several of these he loves - he cannot make them squeak. He jumps on them, chews on them, but just doesn't have the power. He's really a tough chewer. He however, uses these more for wrestling, and attacking, and carrying around and sleeping on, etc. So none of ours have tears in them, though he does attack and chew all of it - I think these products are super wonderful, and I have to buy several more, like the hide-a-toy ones (beehive, squirrel, etc.) because I know the quality, I know my Chihuahua loves them to pieces - while he hasn't actually been able to render them in pieces! Win-win for us. You decide what your dog is like. Mine has his snoopy blanket and a huge victory in his mind over this large GATOR - his friend all day long.
