Het is gemakkelijk te bewerken en te polijsten, waardoor het geliefd is bij houtbewerkers en ambachtslieden.

Verkrijgbaar in verschillende maten, variërend tot maximaal 250 cm lang, en in twee diktes: 55 mm en 35 mm. Al onze Rotterdamse stadsbomen zijn fijnbezaagd, op de foto staan ongeschaafde delen. Alle delen hebben een vochtigheidsgraad van tussen de 12% & 17%.
