Will there be The Royals season 2? Is the show renewed or cancelled? E! renewed it for a second season. We are waiting for the premiere date.

The television project «The Royals», created by Mark Schwahn, premiered on E! in March 2015. The show is the first original series of E!

The first episode was watched by 1,41 million Americans, and at the final episode of the show the number of fans comprised 1,15 million people. The plot of the given prime-time soap opera tells about Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley), a fictional British monarch, who struggles for the preservation of her family image, while her children do not behave like the monarchs.

The show was renewed for the new season before its debut on TV, which was announced in the frameworks of TCA (Television Critics Association) on January 15 the current year. Obviously, the creators are pretty sure in the success of their project and aren’t going to limit it to one season. As for the release date of the new episode, it isn’t confirmed by E!, but everyone expects it to be scheduled for 2016 November 15, 2015 (UPDATE).
