Last month Michael Wright, the President of TBS TV channel, informed the reporters about airing of «Cougar Town» Season 5, which would start January 7, 2014. The exact release date for the first episode will be announced right before the premiere episode. The given television series will be broadcast on Tuesday evenings. Also 13 new episodes are confirmed to have been financed, as that is a number of episodes, which meets the requirements of TBS cable network.

As for the ratings, this TV show is one of the best among the TV channel sitcoms. Its auditory comprises about 2.1 million TV viewers.
