Endeavour will return to ITV for a fourth series in 2017. Do you want to know the exact start (air) date of series 4?
We don’t have to wait long for the decision to renew the project Endeavour for the fourth series, because two weeks after the airing of the final episode of the third series, the right holders announced about the financing of renewal. The representatives of ITV said that filming of the new episodes will start in late spring 2016, but the premiere of the fourth series is expected on January 8, 2017.
The strong audience reaction to series three was the main reason for such an early renewal, noted in ITV, but we shouldn’t forget about leap viewers in 2016 above 7 million people (statistics UK).
Remind that the series Endeavour is a prequel of Inspector Morse, which was part of the television program ITV from 1987 to 2000. The main role in the prequel plays Shaun Evans, and Russell Lewis deals with the script.
The critics believe that this is one of the few projects on British television that can be compared in the popularity with the TV series Downton Abbey, so in the next couple of years Endeavour hardly leave the broadcast channel ITV. Are you waiting for the fourth series?
