When does «Girls» season 3 start? Renewed or cancelled? What is known about premiere (start) date?

TV-show «Girls» premiered on HBO in April, 2012. The story is created by Lena Dunham, who acted also as the main character Hannah Horvath.

Series ratings were high enough to make the creators renew the show for Season 2, which premiered in January, 2013. Soon it has been announced that the producers start working on «Girls» Season 3. Its premiere date hasn’t been set yet but many Internet resources expect the first episode to be aired at the beginning of 2014.

Judd Apatow, one of the producers, confirmed that they would start to prepare 12 episodes of Season 3 right after the final episode of Season 2. Lena Dunham stressed that her agreement with HBO allows her to be producer, writer and performer of the starring role for the following 6 years. That’s why the finale of the show shouldn’t be expected soon.
