Will there be Portlandia season 9? Are you waiting for the start date in 2018-2019 on IFC? Bad news… Portlandia ending after season 8 in 2018.

There is a final decision about the 9th season of the series “Portlandia”. According to the announcement from the IFC representatives, the 8th season of this comedy project is announced to be final, so it is not worth waiting for new episodes in 2019

The series got its logical conclusion and for this we are grateful to the right holders. Modern TV likes to make fans unpleasant surprises in the form of premature canceling of a particular show, but, fortunately, with the TV series “Portlandia” this did not happen.

IFC president Jennifer Caserta in her interview notes that the whole network is proud of this project and it is very difficult to release it. But, unfortunately, all sooner or later ends, so it’s time to say goodbye to your favorite heroes.

The creators are not planning a spin-off, but the possibility of its development is possible. We hope that in the near future we will see Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein in new, no less ridiculous TV-projects, but for now we thank them for their excellent work called “Portlandia”.
