It is not worth waiting for the renewal of the adaptation of the unfinished book by F.Scott Fitzgerald because the series is not for sale. Remind that after the start on Amazon this series had mixed reviews of critics. At that time there were rumors that there unlikely would be financing for the second season of The Last Tycoon, but the final decision on this matter was made only in September 2017.

Note that one day earlier, the representatives of Amazon Video refused to develop the second season for the series Z: The Beginning of Everything, which is based on the story of Scott’s wife Zelda Fitzgerald.
