When will Conviction season 2 be released? ABC is retaining an option to order a second season. What about the premiere date in 2017?

The TV series Conviction became a part of the television broadcast on ABC in October 2016. The plot of this legal drama focuses on a lawyer who is the daughter of USA ex-president and she is blackmailed and forced to lead the Conviction Integrity Unit in New York. This is an important unit created to review the cases of wrongly convicted, so Hayes Morrison should be very responsible…

Liz Friedlander and Liz Friedman are responsible for the development of the script, the shooting process and for the quality of the new series.

Unfortunately, the first impression of the viewed episodes is not very good, because critics have put a low rating to this show. Experts believe that the actress Hayley Atwell is not able to attract the attention of large number of viewers, playing a major role, despite of the fact that she is able to display the role of leader.

Well, the chances for a second season of the TV series Conviction are small enough, but what about the ABC representatives? We are waiting for their decision!

UPDATE 1 (Nov.8 ,2016): ABC has opted not to pick up additional episodes of Conviction. This is not a cancellation.

UPDATE 2 (Nov.30 ,2016): Beginning January 1, 2017 ABC’s Conviction will move to Sundays at 10/9c.
