Empire season 2: premiere air date

When does season 2 of Empire premiere? The series was renewed for a second season. The start air date of the new episodes on Fox is scheduled for 2016.

Fox management announced about the renewal of its several shows. The TV-project «Empire», the newcomer of 2015, was included in the list of the lucky ones.

This musical drama television series attracted about 10 million American viewers and the number of its fans was only increasing with every new episode. Such a success couldn’t go unnoticed and in January the current year the rights holders renewed it for Season 2 (18 episodes) with the premiere at the beginning of 2016 (UPDATE 1).

The exact air date of the new episodes is unknown yet, but we’re following the announcements and will publish it as soon as it is confirmed officially. Follow the updates!

UPDATE 1 (May 11, 2015): The second season will be broken up into two-parts. The first half of the season will air in Fall (September 23, 2015 – Wednesday, 9 p.m.), with the second part premiering on March 30, 2016.

UPDATE 2 (January 15, 2016): Good news! Empire was renewed early for a third season.
