Halt and Catch Fire season 3 premiere start date

When does season 3 of Halt and Catch Fire start? Will there be the new season in 2016? What about the new episodes’ premiere date on AMC?

AMC drama television series Halt and Catch Fire debuted in summer last year. At the end of its first season the number of its fans comprised about 600 thousand people and its rating let the rights holders order ten new episodes. The contractual agreements with actors were renewed and shootings started soon. Premiere of the second season was scheduled for May 31, 2015 and already after its start it became clear that the project kept its fans.

The show is developed by Christopher Cantwell and Christopher Rogers. Its plot follows the young revolutionary computer industry of 80’s, XX century. The story takes place a year after IBM company represented its first product — IBM PC. One of the former employees of the company tries to create his own computer, using IBM PC reverse engineering. At the same time he wants to implement the principles of the open architecture. The television series deals with the problems of innovations in the modern world as well as with the life of characters standing at the forefront of the development of a new computer industry.

At the moment the television series was appreciated by critics, as they positively comment on the future of the project and believe it will be renewed for Season 3.

On Metacritic the current season got 73 points out of 100, and James Poniewozik from Time magazine even stressed that the show improved in many aspects. Numerous nominations of the show Halt and Catch Fire for the prestigious awards should have positive impact on its fate, that’s why let’s be patient and wait for the official decision of AMC.
