Scandal season 5: start date (2015)

Will Scandal be renewed for a fifth season? What about return (premiere) date 2015? We are waiting for the new episodes’ start on ABC.

In 2015 the television series «Scandal» as well as its main star Kerry Washington were nominated for People’s Choice Award, but the main merit of the TV-project is the fact that it is still watched by about 8 million Americans. The show has an excellent rating and there is little doubt it deserves to be renewed for Season 5.

Of course, some critics are unsatisfied with the reduction of the auditory, as at the beginning of the season the number of fans comprised 12 million people.

Probably, ABC will make the official announcement on that account soon and we will be informed about the start date of the new episodes.

UPDATE 1 (May 7, 2015): Good news! ABC renewed the show for a fifth season that will air from 2015–2016 (Thursday, 9 pm).

UPDATE 2 (March 3, 2016): ABC renewed the show for a sixth season.

UPDATE 3 (February 10, 2017): Want more? The series was renewed for a seventh season.
