The Magicians was renewed for Season 2 consisting of 13 episodes which is set to air in 2017. What about the exact premiere date on Syfy and Showcase?

TV-series The Magicians aired only four episodes and got the attention of a million American viewers. High rating of the project allowed the right holders to renew it for a second season, without waiting for the finale of the first season.

Such a rapid decision from Syfy has caused a lot of questions from the experts, because of the series evaluation on Metacritic and RottenTomatoes is not very high (60/100 and 6.8/10, accordingly). However, the creators believe that their project is only gaining popularity with each season and the number of fans will grow.

Young people who are a little more than twenty years, study in contemporary New York and discover the magic of that magical world, about which they read as a child, not only real, but also very dangerous. All humanity is in danger…

The plot is not designed only for one season, noted in the Syfy, so the renewal for Season 2 is justified. The premiere date of 13 new episodes is appointed for January 25, 2017 (at 9/8c), but the exact date of the returning has not yet been announced. Let’s wait and support the series!
