Will The Middle be renewed for a seventh season? We are not ready to say goodbye! When will the new episodes start on ABC? Let’s wait for the premiere!

ABC management is traditionally in no hurry to announce their decision concerning the future of its main TV-projects. Despite that fact the experts are absolutely sure in the renewal of several shows, including the sitcom «The Middle».

The fact that the actor Charlie McDermott is leaving the show and doesn’t want to extend the contract has confused the creators as they have been planning his acting in Season 7. Apparently, it won’t be a hindrance for new season ordering.

However, there is no official confirmation of ABC yet. We have to wait for the official verdict of the rights holders and if it is positive, we will publish the start date of the new episodes in this article.

UPDATE 1 (May 7, 2015): Good news! The series was renewed for a seventh season. The premiere is scheduled for September of 2015 (Wednesday 8 pm).

UPDATE 2 (March 3, 2016): The series was renewed for an eighth season.
