When does «Cars 3» come out? Release date coming? What known about next part?

200 million dollars was invested into the second part of the story about Lightning McQueen – that exceeds even «Transformers 3» budget.

The film has earned about 700 million dollars, which clearly exceeded all the creators’ expectations. Such a success should be a turning point for «Cars 3» production. The release date hasn’t been announced yet and the official comments on that matter haven’t been published.

At the moment Pixar Studio is believed to be working on the other projects, which are more promising and profitable. According to some Internet resources, a brake between the first and the second part of «Cars» comprised about 5 years and «Cars 3» movie won’t be released before 2016. What do you think?

UPDATE 1 (October 2015): Disney announced that Cars 3 will be released on June 16, 2017.
