When will Prison Break season 5 come out? A 10-episode limited series was ordered. What about the exact premiere date in 2016!
The television series Prison Break was aired on Fox from 2005 till 2009 (4 seasons were produced in total). The plot centres on two brothers: one awaits the death penalty in jail for the murder he did not commit and the other robs a bank in order to get behind bars to help his brother to escape.
Wentworth Miller (Michael) and Dominic Purcell (Lincoln) performed the main roles, and Paul Scheuring was responsible for the production. Initially, the project got positive reviews, but with the release of every new season the number of fans was reducing. In May 2009 the rights holders announced about the cancellation of the show.
The remaining fans insisted on the fifth season, but their requirements were declined. Only this month (August 2015) Fox announced about the return of Prison Break in 2016 (a 10-episode limited series). The action will take place several years after the events of the last episode, and the renewal is presented as sequel, not Season 5.
The Chief Executive of Fox Dana Walden confirmed that together with the brothers Michael and Dominic, some key characters would also come back. She promised the issues raised at the end of the show, would be discussed again and also noted that the Michael’s return in the project would be plausible and logical, as the screenwriters came up with how to explain his appearance after the death at the end of the fourth season.
