When does Schitt’s Creek season 2 premiere? Pop renewed the show for a second season! The start air date of the new episodes is scheduled for 2016!

Today is a lucky day for the fans of the Canadian series «Schitt’s Creek»! According to the official announcement of Pop network members, the show has been renewed for Season 2, and the premiere date of the new episodes is scheduled for an early 2016.

The rights holders aren’t ready to talk about the exact terms for the show launching yet, as the shooting process of the continuation hasn’t even been started and it is too early to make any predictions.

Also it has been confirmed that 13 new episodes were financed, as it had been in the previous season and the contractual agreements with the main cast of the show were extended for one more year. It should be mentioned that the television series is commissioned by CBC, and Not A Real Company Prods is responsible for production.

UPDATE 1 (October 22, 2015): Schitt’s Creek will return for its second season on Wednesday, March 16, 2015 (at 8/7c), with a two-episode premiere on Pop.

UPDATE 2 (March 3, 20156): Ahead of its Season 2 premiere on March 16, Schitt’s Creek has been renewed for a 13-episode third season at Pop.
