Will there be The Leftovers season 3? Is the show Renewed or Cancelled? We want to know the premiere (start) date in 2016!
Original network: HBO
Genre: drama
Immediately after the kick-off of the second season of the show The Leftovers critics started talking the show would be canceled soon without being renewed for Season 3.
The matter is that the final of the first season has been watched by about 1.5 million Americans, and the premiere of the second season attracted the attention of only 713 thousand viewers.
The rapid fall of the rating questions the release of the third season despite the fact that the creator Damon Lindelof was talking about the huge plans on this project in his interview to Assignmentx. He noted that HBO management wasn’t against the show The Leftovers to have several seasons more, but the rating of the project shouldn’t have been low.
As we see the fate of the show is hanging by the thread and the new episodes are unlikely to be financed (UPDATE 1) in case the number of fans reduces.
The Leftovers season 3 premiere date – [April 16, 2017] (will be updated)
We’re following the situation and will provide you with the verdict of HBO. Don’t miss!
UPDATE 1 (December 10, 2015): HBO has renewed The Leftovers for a third and final season.
UPDATE 2 (July 30, 2016): The Leftovers‘ third and final season will debut in 2017.
UPDATE 3 (Dec.6, 2016): The HBO drama will launch its eight-episode third and final season in April.
