Good news for the fans of «Veep» television series!

Its possible renewal was being widely discussed in the Internet after the broadcast of the first episode of Season 4 on Sunday as well as the exceeding of the mark of 1 million viewers.

The information was confirmed on the next day, when HBO made the official announcement concerning the renewal of the show for Season 5 and the start of the preparation works. The premiere date of the new episodes is scheduled for April 24, 2016 (at 10:30pm).

It should be noted, that the show creator Armando Iannucci will no longer serve as the daily showrunner for the series fifth season. We hope, «Veep» won’t disappear from HBO soon, as the TV-projects of the given genre are topical now.

Congratulations to the fans! I really like Veep. It’s my favourite comedy. It takes a while to settle in, but it became so funny.

What about The Comeback and Looking?

Love Veep, but like all HBO & Showtime shows, since they can get away with so much right off the bat, they tend to jump the shark by the end of season 4, and it’s headed that way. Now with Iannucci gone too….we saw it with Weeds and the Sopranos, hope they finish out one strong last season and then let it go before they ruin it.
