«The Office» season 10: release date

When will «The Office» season 10 air? What is known about premiere?

It should be mentioned that in 2006 the famous project of NBC «The Office» received Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. In a year the given series was included into «Top100 Best TV Shows of All Time» according to «Time» magazine.

After the actor Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, had left the project, the show ratings started to fall right after the seventh season. The continuation of the series was highly questionable, since it was considered a failure without Carrel. The rightholders decided to continue the series firstly for the eighth and than for the ninth season. The release date for the final episode was confirmed after the creators officially announced that Season 10 wouldn’t be shot. The final one-hour episode will be aired on May 16, 2013.

Of course the rightholders couldn’t help asking Steve to come back. But the actor denied any shootings, since he considered his return to be inappropriate. He was satisfied with implemented character of Michael Scott and according to Steve the commonplace phrase «Hey everyone, this is the end of the story!» would ruin everything created.
