When will The Astronaut Wives Club season 2 come out? We want to know the premiere date of the new episodes in 2016.

The script for the pilot episode of The Astronaut Wives Club had been ordered by ABC television channel in October 2013 and in early 2014 the shootings started. Initially, it was planned that the show would premiere in summer 2014 but later the release date was twice postponed and finally the viewers saw the first episode only in summer 2015.

Such delay in production didn’t contributed to the popularity of the given show and already at the series start the critics expressed their dissatisfaction. On Metacritic it scored only 60/100, and Rotten Tomatoes gave it only 5.7/10.

The story follows the lives of an ordinary women, who in 1969 supported their husbands-astronauts at the high point of space conquest. Stephanie Savage is a director, and Josh Schwartz, Len Goldstein and Michael London are among the executive producers.

Various reviews of critics could affect negatively the future of the show, but we should remember that its renewal depends not only on their opinion. Fortunately, the number of fans of The Astronaut Wives Club comprises more than 4 million people at the moment, that’s why the premiere date of the continuation should be announced. It is said that the official verdict will be made by ABC only after the final episode of the first season, as it will show whether the project has justified the rights holders’ hopes.
