The fans of «True Detective» television series won’t be left without season 2. HBO management confirmed the information concerning the new episodes ordering.

According to the official announcement, the new season will consist of 8 episodes, and Cary Joji Fukunaga will change the role of director to executive producer. Filming process started only in November 2014 in California, which postponed the premiere date of season 2 of «True Detective» television series for June 21, 2015.

Also it was confirmed that Justin Lin and William Friedkin will become the directors of the show, and Colin Farrell as well as Vince Vaughn will be among the cast.
