I only watch this Under the Dome because of curiosity. It is easy to spot flaws in the script. There are only so many people who could fit in a 10 mile radius. Being it is out in the country you should now most people. It would be too easy to figure out who is killing everybody.

I grew up on a 40 acre farm out in the country I didn’t know even 1/4 of the people in a 10 mile radius lol We did know our immediate neighbors & were aquainted with a few others. When a serial killer is caught sometimes the neighbors say I have lived next to him for years & he always seemed like a nice guy. I don’t think it would be so easy to figure out which of our nice neighbors were the bad guys. If it was easy we wouldn’t need police.

At Woody, it’s a sci-fi TV show, sit back and enjoy it or watch something else. Dont be a douche nozzle and over analyze it. Sheesh.

    • Makayla

Ditto, Can’t wait! I really want to know when it is going to start!

  3. pat watt

Loved every episode, was gutted when the last one was shown and we were left hanging there wondering what was going to happen. Can’t wait for next series.

I started reading the book right before the series came out. I stopped reading it because it was so confusing because it was so different from the show! In the book certain ppl were killed by jr and his dad was the most evil hated person in town. He killed ppl too. But on the tv show, the ppl Jr killed are alive. I should finish the book anyway before season 2 comes out! Anyone else read the book?

    • Steve

I wanted to see what happened next, so I also started reading the book. The changes are quite significant. I find the book to be fascinating, though, so I ‘m planning to continue reading. I didn’t like that they extended the story for the T.V. series and didn’t finish in one season. However, I paln to watch season 2 when it starts. Junoir seems even worse in the book than he was in the show!

    • debby

Shows are NEVER like the books, EVER…that being said I love is show and have never read the book

    • John Moon

What about the stand and the second shining to name afew

  8. Bob

I’d never heard about the series before watching it on video. Did anyone notice that everything outside the dome had been obliterated yet some episodes later all is back again. Wonder if the directors wanted to see if viewers noticed that. Wish season 2 would come out earlier than summer.

I watched the 1st episode then thought I need to know what’s going on and read the book! The book is so much better! I’ve read it 4 times now I love it that much. The show is ok but it’s so different. I also remember watching The Stand many years ago and only read (or listened on Audible) the book by Stephen King. Again the book is better but I think if they re-made the Stand now it would be a lot better than it was as that was originally done in the 90s.

    • Noonan

Read The Stand again. It’s almost impossible to make it into a movie or a show on normal television. If HBO or Showtime wanted to pick it up, I think it would be the next Game of Thrones or Dexter, with Randall Flagg being such a great unknown evil.

  11. Me

Well, I thought maybe the show had been canceled. How many shoes are a season?
I watched it mostly cause we vacation were it’s filmed and want to catch glimpse of places we know. Then I wanted to see what happens. Some of it… though…

  12. Edna

still waiting for season 2 better hurry

  13. Bill Rowe

Plays like a bad after-school special. Poor acting, poor continuity of story and characters, poor script, poor direction, and replete with inaccuracies, e.g., In the first or second episode a man holding shotgun is told by the deputy to put down the rifle, all the equipment shown on the farm of the guy who controls the well is completely unused. Did I mention that the acting sucked. . . . . Steven King should be ashamed.

    • Noonan

The show is on CBS….if you were expecting Casablanca, look elsewhere. Otherwise, don’t be a trolling moron.

  14. LOLA

Hope it will come back soon. liked the show.

  15. JoeKnows

Read the book, tv adaptation wayyyy different than the book which is better…plus no commercials.

  16. sherri

what a fantastic show under the dome is cant wait for season 2 and hopefully more seasons of it aswell.

  17. carl

I really love the show theres lots of storie line.never read the book but i might now.

  18. Jerry Cullen

Ever think they will remake “The Stand”. Best book I ever read and the mini-series was pretty good.

  19. Jan

Ok so they are showing this in the US 30th June. When is it coming to the UK??

  20. CC Low

The scriptwriter/director made one of the most horrible and naive mistakes of all time. the mother of all scoofs. In an earlier episode the military had drop a nuclear bomb against the dome and but failed to destroy it. All vegetation outside the dome was flattened and the land became a barren desert, just like Hiroshima and Nagasaki was. Yet in the last episode of Season 1 when the dome was completely darkened the screen showed the surrounding areas outside the dome still green with vegetation and forests !

it would of been nice if I would of know the second season had started no wonder not as many people watch it. By the time they find out they missed so much they just say the hell with it.

  22. scary ari

Whilllle….yes, there are some inconsistencies, and I agree with some folks that it shouldn’t of gone more than 1 season, the storyline keeps you almost aching to know what the dome is, and where it came from! I came out of the womb a stephen king fan, my favorite movie at 2 yrs old was children of the corn. But, reading these comments, Im most assuredly going to read the book, after the show, since i already started watching. I watched IT first when I was around 10 yrs old, read the book directly after, which i understood in it’s entirety, and there were huge differences also. Was very excited for season 2 premier, and while i love the show, please don’t run it a 3rd season, I suspect it’d be repetitive, and we want answers!

  23. Ira

This is my favorite show. I switch between channels to watch the reruns. I even encourage my friends to watch. I hope this show never ends!
