When will Between season 2 start? The show was renewed by CityTV and Netflix and will premiere in 2016. What about the exact release date?

A science fiction television series Between has been discussed on the Internet before its debut on Netflix. The fans of the given genre were very interested in the plot of the project, as its announcement was suggested quite unusual.

A terrible epidemic covers one of the picturesque towns and almost a third part of its residents dies. Later it appears that the disease takes only those, who are over 21 years old. The authorities isolate the town. Kids and teenagers, who get into isolation, have to make a living by themselves and find the reasons of what has happened.

Michael McGowan is author and creator of the project, and Mark Bacci performed the role of his assistant. Such experts as Don Carmody, David Cormican and Naveen Prasad are in the list of executive producers, and Don Carmody Television, Mulmur Feed Co. and Elevation Pictures are responsible for the production.

Right after the release of the first episode on Netflix and CityTV it appeared that the given Canadian show was unlikely to end with the first season, as it consisted of only six episodes and it wasn’t enough for the total implementation of the creators’ idea. The rights holders haven’t hidden that the show would be renewed for the second season if it gets the positive response of critics and viewers’ support. Fortunately, the project turned out to be successful and on June 8 an actress Jennette McCurdy note in Twitter that Between was officially renewed for Season 2 with the premiere in 2016 (no exact date yet).

The rights holders confirmed it officially, but the number of ordered episodes, as well as their premiere date, is still unknown. More data will be announced after the shootings launch and now we should only wait for the announcement.
