When does «Maid Sama!» season 2 start? What is known about new episodes and premiere date?

Anime TV-series «Maid Sama!» (The President is a Maid!) had a great success both on its motherland and abroad. However, it consisted of only 26 main and 1 additional episodes, which couldn’t satisfy its fans. The viewers were expected the anime story to be continued right after the last episode.

The producers originally promised to create 2 seasons, but up till now there are no official comments on its continuation. There is a suggestion that the works on the series haven’t started yet because of the lack of all the necessary manga chapters as well as some financial issues. Release date of «Maid Sama!» Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed by the producers yet. But there is some talk that the next season is to appear at the end of 2013.

Critics generally tend to believe that no one is to extend the show, because after such a long break, the second season won’t be of great interest, will it?
