Shingeki no Kyojin season 2: release date

When will season 2 of Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack On Titan) premiere? will there be a new episodes of this anime in 2015/2016? Renewed or Cancelled?
Anime television series «Shingeki no Kyojin» (Attack on Titan) was recognized as one of the best in 2013. The first season drew the attention of the great auditory all over the world and it was hard to overestimate its success in Japan.
According to experts, such an impressive start obliges the creators to start renewing the show for Season 2, as the profit received in its debut season, exceeded all the rights holders’ expectations.
As you remember, the release of two OVA episodes was announced originally. The given episodes have already premiered. The third episode will be launched in August 2014. At the moment we have the confirmed information concerning two full-footed films on the basis of the first anime season.
The first part titled «Attack on Titan: Guren no Yumiya» will be released already on November 22, 2014 and the premiere of its second part titled «Attack on Titan: Jiyū no Tsubasa» is expected on June 27, 2015. The first film will include the episodes from 1 to 13, and the second – from 14 to 25.
As for the full Season 2, it shouldn’t be expected before 2016, as Hajime Isayama, the manga creator, wants to finish all the written 20 chapters and only after that he will continue working on the anime.

I guess its not enough manga material for another anime season yet. So its just to keep on waiting, or read the manga in the meanwhile!

Season 2 IS confirmed by George Wada:
“Questions regarding a sequel. Wada gave way to the fans and admitted that the second season is currently in pre-production, resulting in thunderous applause. He couldn’t disclose any more information and answered any following plot-related questions with the plea to wait for the second season.”
